Joe’s culinary adventure began in Melbourne, where he trained in prestigious hatted restaurants and developed a deep passion for seafood. His career as a chef has taken him across Australia and Europe, honing his skills while combining his love for food and surfing.

Throughout his journey, Joe has collaborated with renowned teams in award-winning restaurants such as Bacash in Melbourne, Porthminster in St Ives, Cornwall (UK), and Harvest in Newrybar. His expertise lies in crafting exceptional dining experiences, with a strong emphasis on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and customized menus tailored to each event.

Since founding Joe Chef in 2013, the business has grown to cater to a diverse range of events in Byron Bay and beyond. What truly sets Joe Chef apart is its integration with a commercial fishing operation Joe fishes out of the Pass in Byron Bay, ensuring that only the freshest, line-caught seafood is served at his events.
